Max Born was a Polish physicist that contributed much to the development of the quantum theory. He became known as one of the founding fathers of it. Throughout his life, he dealt with many hardships because of his religion. He was a Jew that lived through the time period of 1930 to 1940, the years when Hitler and the Nazi party came to power. Above all this, he was still a patriot to Judaism, he even fought in World War 1. Born's life was built around mathematics, his interest in math and physics allowed for him to collaborate with some of the most prestigious scientist in the world. Max Born a friend, physicist, Jew, patriot, and genius was born into a time period of rapid scientific and aesthetic achievement. What is known today about quantum theory is the result of the very prestigious Max Born. And although he contributed greatly to the development of the theory, he was the most discredited.(Bernstein, Jeremy. "Max Born and the Quantum Theory." N.p., 29 July2005. Web. 28 Feb. 2014.). He was eventually sought through and claimed the Nobel Prize in 1954, a prize that labels one as a major contributor to society.
