Art
During the life time of Max Born, many forms of art arose. One form of art was realism which is when artist copy scenes in photographs or nature (top left). Abstract paintings also emerged. The point of the paintings was to depict a picture that had more than one perspective. After World War I, surrealism arose. Surrealism is a form of art that some may find quite disturbing. Its origin had to do with many soldiers after the war who realized the horror of it and expressed it through painting.
The time period from the late 1800s to the 1900s introduced new art forms. Abstract and war paintings gained popularity. Max Planck, one of Max Born's fellow researchers in developing the quantum theorem was an expert pianist, so good that he could have been a professional.(Bernstein, Jeremy. "Max Born and the Quantum Theory." N.p., 29 July2005. Web. 28 Feb. 2014.)(pg 16). Although this time period was saw many new innovations in art, Max Born was not interested. He took on a deep love of mathematics instead. (Max. "Recollections of Max Born: II. What I did as a Physicist." (1965): n.pag. Web. 22 Feb. 2014.) (pg 14).
