Music
Many of the European physicist were also talented musicians in the 19th century. Max Plank, one of the most important contributors to the quantum theorem excelled in piano. Max Born and Albert Einstein both specialized in violin. The two scientist bonded through music. During the times of World War II, Einstein provided comfort to Born by playing violin together (Max. "Recollections of Max Born: II. What I did as a Physicist." (1965): n.pag. Web. 22 Feb. 2014.) (pg 15).
